Product Manager - ADAS Software Release Train at Continental in Carpinteria, CA

THE POSITION o The Lidar Software Engineering group for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Software Product Manager to lead, mentor and synchronize our embedded software development team from requirements through implementation to testing of the developed software on simulation platforms and the target hardware. Our Software group in Carpinteria, through close collaboration with global software development and test teams, is working on all architecture design, development, integration & testing activities for Continental's new generation of LIDAR sensors for applications in autonomous driving vehicles and other industries.
Responsibilities:
o Develop, manage, and communicate the program vision, roadmap and schedule together with global SW Scrum teams and our internal/external customers with the common goal of bringing the product to production maturity o Understand customer needs and be the content authority to validate and release deliverables of SW Agile Release Train (ART) to its customers and stakeholders o Work closely with System Architects, SW Release Train Architects and SW Product Owners to decompose higher level requirements and specifications o As the primary owner of the Program Backlog, maintain it by adding, deleting, estimating, refining, and prioritizing backlog items, e.g., Customer Features o Ensure that dependencies between Agile Teams are respected and delivered as committed and act as leader and coach in case of conflicts o Support in defining and prioritization of quality measures by following established Agile methods and Automotive Standards and Processes to ensure continuous product improvement o Participate in project meetings and be the contact person and voice of SW ART with other domains o Present status of SW development and work products to customers and internal steering committees WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY o Immediate Benefits o Paid Time Off o Tuition & Employee Discounts o Annual Bonus o Employer 401(k) Match o And more benefits that come with working for a global industry leader! Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS o Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline o Minimum 5 years of experience developing SW according to standards and processes such as Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), ISO26262 and Agile methods such as SCRUM or SAFe o Previous technical leadership experience o Experience with common Software Configuration management systems (Git/GitHub, JIRA, etc.), Requirement management tools (IBM Doors etc.,) o Applicant must also possess strong communication, team, and presentation skills and be willing to work in a distributed global team environment o Willingness for occasional domestic or international travel to support knowledge transfer and global coordination of activities o Fluent in English PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS o Master's degree in related engineering field such as Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science o 7 years of relevant SW development experience including at least 3 years of experience in a technical leading role such as project manager, product owner, facilitator, technical leader or lead developer o 3 years of experience directly reporting/negotiating with internal/external customers on SW requirements and development o 2 years of experience in embedded SW development and debugging using C/C+
based on Automotive SW Architecture (classic/adaptive AUTOSAR, Linux, QNX) o 2 years of experience working in international, multi-cultural and large-scale distributed project setups o Experience in related disciplines such as Systems Engineering, Safety or Security o Experience with ARM Cortex-A and ARM Cortex-R processor families and architecture
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
