What does a Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist do? The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for talent acquisition recruitment and assisting the onboarding process.
The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for actively sourcing, pre-screening, recruiting qualified candidates, assist applicants through the onboarding process, and making job offers to fill open positions; build strong pipelines and proactively maintain needed staffing levels throughout the organization through creation and attending internal and external job fairs.
Partners and collaborates with hiring managers and operations leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for staff positions Network, source, and build a talent pipeline of potential candidates to assess them and ultimately attract talent Screen resumes for full-time management positions, conduct introductory interviews/assessments of candidates, and recommend viable/qualified candidates to hiring managers through the application process Develop and implement annual recruitment plans, goals, and objectives, and review institutional equity in partnership with hiring managers and the Human Resources Department.
Determine the appropriate screening strategy based on the competencies identified in the recruitment plan Plan and execute job fairs; internal and external throughout the year with predetermined plan and based on association needs Initiate and authorize pre-employment/conditional reference checks for all candidates and volunteers Serve as primary point of contact for hiring managers, candidates, volunteers, and applicantsthroughout the interviewing/onboarding process Train hiring managers on successful recruitment and interviewing techniques as needed Provide data driven reports regarding recruitment efforts and conversion monthly Research recruiting trends for attracting diverse talent and leverage data to build and expand metricsthat measure the effectiveness and ROI of associated programs #CIYMCAHIGH Must be at least 18 years old Bachelor's Degree preferred; related work experience may offset degree requirement 2
years' previous work-related experience preferred Knowledge of CA Labor and Employment Laws PHR/SPHR Certification preferred Complete required certifications within 30 days of hire Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire Ability to obtain a Criminal Record Clearance Ability to participate in the DMV Pull Program.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
