We are currently hiring for a Controller who is:
o Able to provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
o Self-motivated and thrives in a fast -paced, team-driven, lean systems environment, where every day brings new projects and challenges.
Basic Responsibilities
o Maintain plant financial records according to IFRS for both the Carpinteria and Costa Rica locations. Includes monthly closing, year-end audits and reconciling accounts.
o Become a business partner supporting Lead Center and Division Managers in reaching profit targets. Prepares forecasts.
o Maintain internal controls in accordance with Company policy.
o Prepare financial analysis as needed to support business objectives.
o Facilitate the annual business plan process.
o Prepare annual cost plan setting work center rates for inventory valuation and standard product cost.
o Preparation of appropriation requests (AR) and analysis.
o Coordinate physical inventories and encourage cycle counts.
o Responsible for documented completion of training for staff/employees per current company procedures.
o Participate in and support lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
o Participate in and support safety initiatives.
Education/certification:
o Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
o Advance degree or professional certification preferred
Required Knowledge:
o Excel (pivot tables)
o Microsoft Word
o ERP system experience and consolidation software knowledge (SAP and Hyperion Enterprise knowledge a plus)
Required
Experience: Five to seven years of progressive experience
o Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and financial reporting matters
o Big 4 CPA firm experience is preferred

o Must have ability to effectively prioritize, balance multiple projects and processes, and adhere to strict deadlines.

o Ability to work in fast paced dynamic organization.
o Able to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines.
o Using mathematics to solve problems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
