Independently generate and complete work orders per production need. Carry out embedding, tissue fixation/processing, microtomy and staining procedures (H&E/special stains/IHC/ISH) in support of diagnostic product development and QC. Responsible for routine preventative maintenance/cleaning, coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance of histology instruments. Actively work towards subject matter expert in histology and become highly skilled with histology techniques and knowledgeable in histology instrumentation. In addition to the primary responsibility of Control Cell Line production, the histologist works as a member of the Immunoproduction group and may participate in tasks such as antibody production, polyclonal and monoclonal antibody purification and characterization as needed. Maintain operations histology lab. Perform all production tasks while adhering to GMP guidelines. Expected to have extreme attention to detail and maintain accurate documentation. Create and revise technical procedures, SOP's, forms, and similar documents. Keep training record up to date and complete. Participate in new technology and or process validations as needed. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects. Bachelor's or Associates degree in science or related field, or other equivalent combination of expereience, education and post certification experience. 4
years of relevant work
Experience:
grossing tissue specimens, staining slides for microscopic evaluations, tissue embedding/sectioning, quality control testing 2

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
