The main responsibilities of the Director, , Companion Diagnostics, R&D are to provide leadership and management to scientific and technical staff in the R&D function, to ensure projects are resourced adequately and sound decisions are made to meet the overall goals and timelines of the projects. The Director will oversee an R&D line organization focused on the companion diagnostic development cycle. He/She will implement and communicate the strategic and technical direction for the function. The Director will work frequently with pharmaceutical partners on complex projects and abstract problems requiring ability to make decisions and set strategies for achieving project goals. The Director works closely with cross-functional directors and managers within the CDx function to identify issues that may impact project milestones, and recommends appropriate action to be taken. Participates with the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) function and corporate business development to grow the CDx business with new pharma collaborations and partnerships.

The Director, CDx R&D will also participate in setting functional strategies and milestones in meeting objectives for the CDx business, as well as process improvements and drive quality initiatives. The Director may also participate in Technology and Business initiatives as directed by the CSO.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
