Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

The leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing high-performance hermetically sealed electro-mechanical DC Power Switching Technology, seeks a talented Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering Team and meet the needs of our expanding manufacturing lines and rapidly growing company. You will join a team to support and improve the manufacture of advanced power control devices capable of carrying and switching over 6 megawatts of DC current in a product the size of an apple. These electro-mechanical devices are a critical component of the Electric Vehicle, Solar and Wind Generation, Power Storage, and Fuel Cell markets. Our customers include Tesla, Samsung, Mercedes, Space-X, Navistar/International, Lockheed, Zero Motorcycles, Solaris, and hundreds more.

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical or manufacturing engineering experience
Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency designing mechanical equipment, fixtures and tooling in CAD (Solidworks preferred)
  • Experience introducing new equipment and new processes into a production environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and manage competing demands and deadlines
  • Well organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to manage ambiguity

Preferred Experience:

  • Automated manufacturing equipment design
  • Electro-mechanical systems
  • Design for manufacturability and assembly
  • Line balancing, kaizen, kanban systems
  • PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, TS quality systems
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes, injection molding, stamping, etc
  • Vacuum systems and leak checking
  • Apply mechanical engineering tools and concepts to design, develop and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment for new products
  • Improve manufacturing through implementing lean practices, automation, and process development.
  • Expand capacity and increase efficiency of existing manufacturing lines
  • Diagnose product performance and production problems. Perform root-cause analysis of manufacturing defects.
  • Implement corrective actions through product, process, and tooling design changes
  • Assure product and process quality by testing process capabilities and confirming manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales staff on product design changes
  • Team with suppliers and purchasing team to solve sourcing and quality issues
  • Provide leadership and training to mfg line personnel

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
