Director - Technology

Job Summary Reports to Vice President Research & Development. Manages and coordinates development of new siliconeprocessesand material research. Manages R&D chemists. Responsible for developing new products and technology. Evaluates new products from vendors and competitors. Provides technical information and support. Initiates new analytical technology. Conducts investigations and establishes corrective action for product line technical issues. Responsible for all HR functions in the department. Obtains and reviews patents. Must be regular and punctual in attendance Responsible for maintaining quality within the scope of the job description. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES           Oversees and manages R&D chemists. QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Degree in Chemistry or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Good managerial and organizational skills required.  Ability to negotiate with customers and vendors. LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent communication skills.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 104255

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
